Gosh Where do I start? Maca powder is known to clear acne and blemishes, improve and level energy, supply iron, B1, B2, B12, C and E. It provides plenty of calcium, zinc, iron, magnesium, phosphorous and amino acids. Maca powder also alleviates cramps, body pain, hot flashes, anxiety, mood swings and depression. It has also been known to balance your hormones and increase fertility.
Maca powder has quite a distinct taste that not everyone likes. I like to disguise mine by putting it in my smoothies, I often add lemon juice or lots of ginger to a smoothie to give it a kick and this usually disguises it. However it does go really well in raw deserts. I have used in a coconut fudge, raw vegan ice creamand a raw vegan cheese cake. The easiest way to incorporate it by far is in asmoothie. Some can handle it sprinkled over their breakfast!
