Being the first day of spring, (just quietly I get WAY too excited this time of year) I thought what better time to give away one of the secret recipes from the Natural Harry Recipe Book. For those of you that already own a copy perhaps it will be a nice little reminder to freeze those ripe bananas, dust of the blender and get ready for those warmer months ahead.
As far as making something a bit “fancy pants” with little effort, this smoothie recipe is the ticket. A sure fire crowd pleaser. the vibrant colour also offers vital nutrients and leaves you feeling nourished and energised from the inside out. Ready for a beautiful spring day!
SMOOTHIE
3 frozen bananas, cut into chunks
1 tablespoon maqui berry powder
1/2 cup (65g) blueberries, fresh or frozen
1/2 teaspoon vanilla powder
2-4 ripe passionfruit
1 1/2 cups (375ml) almond milk or plant-based milk of choice
TO SERVE (optional)
2 teaspoons coconut flakes
METHOD
Cut passionfruit in half and scoop contents into the bottom of two glasses.
Blend all smoothie ingredients until smooth and pour over passionfruit. Top with a sprinkling of coconut and enjoy!
